- La risonanza di questa settimana viene direttamente dal Noviziato di Kinshasa e porta il titolo di “Ma rencontre avec St. Conforti à travers la Lettre Testament” (Il mio incontro con San Conforti attraverso la Lettera Testamento). L’autore è il novizio Denis Bacikuderhe Imani, il cui nome significa "parleranno della tua fede". Nato a Bukavu nel 1997, è cresciuto nella parrocchia di Cahi, che i Saveriani hanno animato fino al 2014. È entrato nell'Istituto nel 2015 seguendo le tappe seguenti: Propedeutica, Filosofia, Postulato e, ora, Noviziato. Nella risonanza sulla Lettera Testamento, Denis propone una lettura partendo dalla sua esperienza di giovane in formazione: “Spero che tutti i saveriani si sentano felici di essere stati chiamati a questa nobile missione e che scoprano in questo Testamento il cuore stesso del nostro fondatore. Infine, amando il desiderio di vedere tutti gli uomini riuniti in un'unica famiglia cristiana, imploro Dio per la grazia di cui ogni novizio ha bisogno per comprendere il significato della sua prossima consacrazione. Daremo così testimonianza davanti agli uomini della speranza che dà senso e vita perché sia conosciuto e amato da tutti, nostro Signore Gesù Cristo”.
- Segnaliamo “Missione e Consacrazione. La Vittoria e il suo Segreto”, un nuovo approfondimento sulla Lettera Testamento a cura di p. Alfiero Ceresoli sx. Nella sua introduzione, p. Alfiero scrive: “Come straniero e mendicante, leggo, medito e prego il Testamento del Padre che, nell’inventare la mia famiglia missionaria, è stato ispirato non altrimenti che da Dio”. E alla fine del suo scritto, aggiunge: “Oso una proposta... Abbandoniamo le formule come ‘professione religiosa’, ‘fare i voti’… e usiamo invece ‘celebrazione della consacrazione a Dio per la Missione’!”

- This week’s resonance comes directly from the Xaverian Novitiate of Kinshasa. It bears the title “My encounter with St. Guido M. Conforti through the Testament Letter”. The author is Novice Denis Bacikuderhe Imani, whose name means “they will talk about your faith.” He was born in Bukavu in 1997 and grew up in the parish of Cahi, which was animated by the Xaverians until 2014. Denis joined the Xaverian Institute in 2015 and went through the following stages of formation: Preparatory, Philosophy, Postulancy and, now, Novitiate. In his reflection on the Founder’s Testament Letter, Denis proposes a reading based on his experience as a young man in formation: “I hope that all Xaverians feel happy to have been called to this noble mission and that they discover in this Testament the very heart of our Founder. Finally, out of a desire to see all men gathered in one Christian Family, I implore God to grant the grace that every novice needs to understand the meaning of his upcoming Consecration. In this way we will bear witness before men to the hope that gives meaning and life, so that our Lord Jesus Christ may be known and loved by all.”
- We like to point out “Missione e Consacrazione. – La vittoria ed il suo Segreto” (“Mission and Consecration. – Victory and its Secret”), a new in-depth study of the Testament Letter by Fr. Alfiero Ceresoli, s.x. In the introduction, Fr. Alfiero writes: “I read, meditate and pray the Testament Letter of the Founder as a foreigner and a beggar. The Founder was certainly inspired by none other than God to generate the missionary family I belong to.” At the end of his writing, Fr. Alfiero adds: “I dare to make a proposal (…). Let us abandon expressions such as ‘Religious Profession’, ‘Making Vows’, and the like. Let us instead use: ‘Celebration of the Consecration to God for the mission’!”
