Nell’editoriale di questa settimana, presentiamo integralmente un articolo apparso nella rivista “Testimoni” - mensile di informazione, spiritualità e vita consacrata - del mese di maggio 2021. La sezione “spiritualità” ospita il racconto di P. Gabriele Ferrari sx sull’esperienza della sua malattia. Il titolo dell’approfondimento è “Un’esperienza unica e… benefica”. P. Gabriele, colpito da un ictus nel mese di febbraio 2021, narra in modo semplice e reale quanto ha vissuto in questi mesi con le sue implicazioni fisiche e spirituali, gli interrogativi e i messaggi che questo avvenimento gli ha trasmesso. È stato un tempo di sofferenza e insieme di grazia. “Non tutto il male viene per nuocere”, conclude l’autore.

In this week’s editorial, we present in full an article that appeared in the May 2021 edition of “Testimoni” (Witnesses), a monthly magazine of information about spirituality and consecrated life. Its “spirituality” section gives space to a text written by Fr. Gabriele Ferrari, s.x. that narrates his personal experience of illness. The title of this thought-provoking article is: “A Unique and ‘Beneficial’ Experience”. Fr. Gabriele, who suffered a stroke (ictus) on February 2021, tells in a simple and realistic manner what he has experienced since then at the physical and spiritual level, and the questions and messages which that event has conveyed to him. It has been a time of both suffering and grace. “Not all evil comes to harm”, the author concludes.
