L’anno giubilare per i 100 anni della Lettera Testamento e delle Costituzioni del 1921, è un momento propizio per rafforzare l’appartenenza al carisma saveriano. Così scrive nella risonanza di questa settimana, Kampianus Ordin Jemanu, sx, studente di teologia a Parma. Originario di Repu, provincia di Manggarai, che appartiene all’isola di Flores (Indonesia), ha fatto la prima professione nel 2016. Dal 1° settembre Ordin sarà con la comunità di Ancona dove farà l’anno di pastorale. Nella sua riflessione, ci ricorda la grande tentazione dei religiosi: “voler rispondere a tutti i bisogni del mondo, senza discernere se questi sono coerenti con la propria identità o meno”. Indica la formazione di base come momento chiave per l’appropriazione non solo teorica ma pratica del carisma ad gentes: imparare sin dall’inizio a trovare e percorrere le vie che conducono all’incontro con i non cristiani.

JUBILEE YEAR
The Jubilee Year for the 100th anniversary of the Testament Letter and the first Constitutions (1921) is a favorable time to strengthen our sense of belonging to the Xaverian charism. So writes in this week’s resonance Kampianus Ordin Jemanu s.x., a theology student in Parma. Ordin comes from Repu, Manggarai Province, which belongs to the island of Flores (Indonesia). He celebrated his First Religious Missionary Profession in 2016. On September 1st, 2021, he will join the Xaverian Community of Ancona, where he will get involved in pastoral ministry for one year. In his reflection, Kampianus reminds us of a great temptation the religious face: “the ambition to respond to all the needs of the world, without discerning whether these are consistent with one’s own identity or not”. Kampianus points to basic formation as a key moment for the appropriation, not only theoretically but also practically, of the charism ad gentes, because it is important to learn to find and follow the paths which lead to the encounter with non-Christians from the very beginning.
