Domenica 16 gennaio 2022 si è celebrata la Giornata Missionaria dell'Infanzia nella Diocesi di Uvira con il tema "Bambini della Repubblica Democratica del Congo, testimoni di fede".

Alcuni dei nostri giovani postulanti hanno partecipato attivamente ai vari incontri preparatori e alla settimana di animazione e sensibilizzazione in collaborazione con i cappellani, le suore e le animatrici dei ragazzi e ragazze dei Decanati di San Paolo e Santa Maria, Madre e Regina di Kavinvira. Hanno anche accompagnato i bambini della nostra parrocchia di Kavinvira alla celebrazione eucaristica domenicale nella Cattedrale di Uvira che ha visto riuniti i bambini di diverse parrocchie attorno al nostro vescovo. Nonostante la pioggia e il maltempo, le celebrazioni  si sono svolte con gioia e i bambini sono tornati alle loro rispettive parrocchie e famiglie con la missione di essere generosi testimoni della fede. Sunday, January 16^th 2022, the Missionary Children Day has been celebrated in the Diocese of Uvira. Theme of the day was Children of the Democratic Republic of the Congo: Witnesses of Faith.

Some of our young postulants took part actively in the preparatory meetings and in the week of activities to raise awareness, which were carried out with chaplains, nuns and lay educators of the boys and girls from St Paul Deanery and Holy Mary Mother and Queen of Kavinvira Deanery. They have also accompanied the children of our parish in Kavinvira to the Sunday Mass in the Cathedral of Uvira where children from many parishes gathered around our bishop. Despite rain and bad weather, the celebrations took place joyfully and kids returned to their respective parishes and family with the mission to be generous witnesses of the faith.
