Il nostro confratello p. Dante Volpini sx, classe 1940, con una lunga esperienza missionaria in Brasile, e ora a Parma, nella comunità della Casa Madre per cure, riflette sui 150 anni (16 gennaio 2022) della nascita del Beato Paolo Manna (PIME), sottolineando la feconda comunione di intenti e l’operosa collaborazione con San Guido Maria Conforti.

P. Dante fa suo il sogno del compianto p. Roberto Beduschi sx  (morto in Brasile il 28.07.2007): “Penso che quello che ha sognato P. Roberto Beduschi sx per Mons. Conforti sia valido anche per P. Manna: li vedrei bene insieme come il 3° Patrono delle Missioni. 1) San Francesco Saverio, Patrono perché è andato nelle Missioni; 2) Santa Teresina del Bambino Gesù, Patrona perché si è offerta qui per le Missioni; 3) San Guido M. Conforti e Beato Paolo Manna (presto Santo), Patroni perché hanno vissuto la Missione “e fuori e qui” e hanno sollecitato che “ogni persona e comunità si dedichino qui e fuori”, per “Fare del mondo una sola famiglia, in Cristo”, o come ha detto bene il Beato P. Paolo Manna, “Tutta la Chiesa per tutto il mondo!”.

Our confrere, Fr. Dante Volpini s.x., born in 1940 and with a long missionary experience in Brazil, is now in Parma. On the birthday (January 22^nd 2022) of Blessed Paolo Manna (PIME), he reflects on this 150^th anniversary and underlines the fruitful communion of purposes and close cooperation between Manna and St Guido Maria Conforti.

Fr. Dante shares the same dream of late Fr. Roberto Beduschi s.x. (died in Brazil on July 28^th 2007): “I think that what Fr. Roberto Beduschi s.x. dreamed for Msgr. Conforti applies to Fr. Manna too: I reckon that both could very well be the 3^rd Patron of Mission, that is: 1) St Francis Xavier: Patron because he went to the mission; 2) St Theresa of the Child Jesus: Patron because she offered herself for mission here; 3) St Guido M. Conforti and Blessed Paolo Manna (soon-to-be-Saint): patrons because they lived the Mission ‘both outside and here’ and urged ‘every person and community to dedicate themselves here and outside’ to ‘the formation of a single Christian family embracing all humanity’, or, as well put by Blessed Fr. Paolo Manna, ‘The entire Church for the entire world!’”
