Nel 2024 la rivista Missione Oggi ha compiuto 120 anni. Molte cose sono cambiate da quando san Guido M. Conforti, il 3 dicembre 1903, fondò la rivista con il titolo Fede e Civiltà. Dal 2016 la rivista è pubblicata dall’Associazione Missione Oggi, che non si limita all’attività editoriale, ma promuove anche un programma culturale, in proprio e con altre associazioni, enti e istituzioni. Per testimoniare il percorso fatto e ringraziare quanti – e sono davvero molti – hanno sostenuto, aiutato e collaborato con l’Associazione, il direttore e il gruppo redazionale hanno voluto pubblicare il primo Bilancio sociale della stessa Associazione. Oltre ai convegni e seminari di studio, l’attività si è concentrata sulla presentazione di libri, con la serie Caro autore ti chiedo, e sulla proposta di spettacoli e letture sceniche, con la serie Teatro dell’anima. Il Bilancio sociale non è solo un dovuto resoconto agli amici, collaboratori e sostenitori, ma anche la manifestazione del desiderio di continuare con crescente dinamismo, ricchezza di temi, apertura culturale. In 2024, the magazine Missione Oggi marked its 120^th year of life. Much has changed since St Guido M. Conforti launched this magazine under the title Fede e Civiltà on December 3^rd, 1903. From 2016, the magazine is published by Associazione Missione Oggi that, apart from dealing with the publishing work, promotes also a cultural programme, either on its own or by teaming up with other associations, agencies and institutions. In order to illustrate the journey made so far and thank all those – truly many people – who supported, helped and collaborated with the Associazione, the director and the editing committee wanted to issue its first Bilancio sociale (Activities Report). The activities of the Associazione included conferences and study sections, and in particular the presentation of books, such as the series of meetings Caro autore ti chiedo (Dear author, let me ask you), as well as the offering of performances and public readings, such as Teatro dell’anima (Theatre of the Soul). The publication of the Bilancio Sociale is something owed to friends, collaborators and supporters, but it is also meant as an expression of our desire to continue with growing dynamism, richness of topics, and cultural openings.
