Domenica sera 5 gennaio 2025 i confratelli della comunità del IV Piano della Casa Madre, Parma,  hanno salutato p. Gabriele Cimarelli (rettore della Casa Madre, 2015-2024) in partenza per la missione nella Repubblica Democratica del Congo. I confratelli hanno pregato insieme a p. Gabriele i Vespri e alla fine della celebrazione hanno letto una lettera a lui indirizzata. Riprendiamo qui due paragrafi dello scritto a più mani: 

“…il primo pensiero che ci rincorre in questo momento di commiato è quello di dirti un grande e fraterno grazie: grazie per la tua presenza come Superiore di questa Casa Madre; grazie per la tua premura, fatta di cura, preoccupazione e sollecitudine; grazie per aver saputo trovare di tanto in tanto quel pizzico di tempo per sentirci, ascoltarci e donarci la tua parola di consolazione…

 …Sentirai anche il bisogno di aiuto continuo che promettiamo poterti dare con la nostra preghiera e con l’offerta a Dio delle nostre sofferenze e della nostra ‘vecchiaia’. Noi qui dal IV° piano continueremo a seguirti, non ti scorderemo, pensaci sempre col cuore uniti a te perché saranno proprio le nostre malattie e i nostri limiti a sostenerti e a stimolarti…”. On Sunday evening, January 5^th, 2025, the confreres of the Fourth Floor of the Mother House, Parma, greeted Fr. Gabriele Cimarelli (Rector of the Mother House, 2015-2024) on his way to the mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The confreres prayed the Evening Prayers with Fr. Gabriele and, at the end of the liturgy, read a letter addressed to him. Below we report two paragraphs written by several confreres:

...Our first thought in this moment of farewell is to say a big and fraternal thank you: thank you for your presence as Superior of this Mother House; thank you for your thoughtfulness, characterized by care, concern and solicitude; thank you for being able, every now and then, to find that little bit of time to listen to us and give us your word of consolation...

 ...You will also feel the need for help. We promise to give you that which we can through our prayers and by offering to God our sufferings and our 'old age'. Here, from the Fourth Floor, we will continue to follow you, we will not forget you. Always think of us united with you, because it is precisely our illnesses and limitations that will sustain and stimulate you... (Xaverian Community of the Fourth Floor, Mother House, Parma)
