Domenica 29 giugno 2025, i confratelli studenti della comunità di Teologia di Kinshasa sono stati istituiti Lettori e Accoliti. I confratelli del II Anno di Teologia MURHABAZI BASABANYA Gloire (dalla RDC); MUHETO Ernest (dal BURUNDI); BIGIRIMANA Osias (dal BURUNDI) e WABO MBETCHUM Eugène Ledoux (dal CAMERUN) sono stati istituiti Lettori, ministri della Parola. I confratelli del III Anno di Teologia, BISIMWA BARHONYI Stanislas (dalla RDC); NJITACKE TEKAWE Martin Joël (dal CAMERUN) e NTAHOMVUKIYE Elias (dal BURUNDI) sono stati istituiti Accoliti, ministri dell’Altare.

Il presidente della celebrazione eucaristica, p. Rino BENZONI, ha offerto ai candidati una buona istruzione in vista anche dell'avvicinarsi del giorno del sacerdozio ministeriale, invitandoli ad imitare Cristo, il “sacerdote per eccellenza”.

La celebrazione è stata molto semplice. Da un lato, l'essenzialità del ministero, il riferimento a Cristo e, dall'altro, l’attenzione a ridurre al minimo l'inclinazione al clericalismo che, tra i fedeli di Cristo e tra noi, getta un'ombra sulla vita religiosa. Essa, infatti, non dimentica mai di sottolineare la grandezza del Servo dei servi, che i nuovi ministri sono chiamati a contemplare e interiorizzare. L'abito liturgico, pur cercando di dissipare la banalizzazione del rito, intendeva dire altrettanto.

Il popolo di Dio? Felice! La loro partecipazione umile e discreta a livello materiale e spirituale ne è stata un'ulteriore prova. (Ramazani Katindi sx)

On Sunday, June 29, 2025, the students of the Theology community in Kinshasa were instituted in the ministry of Lectors and Acolytes. The confreres of the 2nd Year of Theology MURHABAZI BASABANYA Gloire (from DRC); MUHETO Ernest (from BURUNDI); BIGIRIMANA Osias (from BURUNDI) and WABO MBETCHUM Eugène Ledoux (from CAMEROON) were instituted Lectors for the ministry of the Word. The confreres in the 3rd Year of Theology BISIMWA BARHONYI Stanislas (from the DRC); NJITACKE TEKAWE Martin Joël (from CAMEROON) and NTAHOMVUKIYE Elias (from BURUNDI) were instituted Acolytes for the service at the altar.

The president of the Eucharistic celebration, Fr Rino BENZONI gave the candidates a good instruction as the day towards the ministerial priesthood is approaching, inviting them to imitate Christ, the "priest par excellence".

The celebration was very simple. On the one hand, the essentiality of the ministry, the reference to Christ, and on the other, the attention to minimising the inclination to clericalism which, among the faithful of Christ and among us, casts a shadow over religious life. Indeed, it never forgets to emphasise the greatness of the Servant of Servants, which the new ministers are called to contemplate and internalise. The liturgical habit, while trying to dispel the trivialisation of the rite, intended to say the same.

The people of God? Happy! Their humble and discreet participation on a material and spiritual level was further proof of this. (Ramazani Katindi sx)
