Martedì 1º settembre, Giornata di preghiera per la cura del creato, Leone XIV presiederà la messa presso il Giardino della Madonnina del Borgo Laudato si’, nei Giardini pontifici di Castel Gandolfo.
“Il 1° settembre — si sottolinea in una nota del Dicastero per il Servizio dello sviluppo umano integrale e il Centro di Alta Formazione Laudato si’, che promuovono congiuntamente la celebrazione — segna ogni anno anche l’inizio del Tempo del Creato, il cammino ecumenico di preghiera e di impegno per la cura della casa comune che si conclude il 4 ottobre, festa di San Francesco d’Assisi, del cui Transito celebriamo gli 800 anni. In questo periodo, la Chiesa, insieme alle altre comunità cristiane, è invitata a rinnovare il proprio impegno per la creazione.
SEPTEMBER 1: WORLD DAY OF PRAYER FOR THE CARE OF CREATION
On Tuesday September 1, the Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, Pope Leo XIV will preside over Mass at the Garden of the Madonnina del Borgo Laudato si’, in the pontifical Gardens at Castel Gandolfo.
“September 1— as highlighted in a statement from the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development and the Laudato si’ Centre for Higher Education, which are jointly organising the celebration — also marks the start of the Season of Creation each year, the ecumenical journey of prayer and commitment to the care of our common home, which concludes on October 4, the feast of St Francis of Assisi, on whose 800th anniversary of his passing we are commemorating. During this period, the Church, together with other Christian communities, is invited to renew its commitment to creation”.
