Nella solennità di Pentecoste si è aperto in Brasile Sud l’anno celebrativo saveriano, nel ricordo del 70º anno di presenza dei Saveriani in Brasile. Le celebrazioni si prolungheranno fino al 10 giugno 1923, giorno dell’arrivo dei primi quattro missionari Saveriani. In tutte le parrocchie si è celebrata l’apertura con momenti di preghiera e liturgie. Significativa l’iniziativa della parrocchia São Guido Maria Conforti dove l’apertura dell’anno si è celebrata con l’entrata alla messa di 70 famiglie. Con una raccolta di fotografie e immagini varie, è stata presentata e ricordata una breve storia della nostra presenza e attività. (Alfiero Ceresoli sx)

On the Solemnity of Pentecost, in South Brazil, we opened the year of Xaverian celebrations to commemorate 70 years of Xaverian presence in the country. The celebrations will last till June 10^th, 2023, anniversary of the arrival of the first four Xaverians. In all parishes, the opening was celebrated with moments of prayer and liturgies. The initiative taken by St Guido Maria Conforti Parish was particularly significant: the opening of the year was celebrated with 70 families taking part in the entrance procession at Mass.
