In comunione con tutto il nostro Istituto, il 5 novembre 2023 abbiamo festeggiato il nostro padre Fondatore. Tre eventi si sono uniti a questa giornata: il rinnovo dei voti temporanei, la nascita di un coro legato alla nostra Cappella che porta il nome del Fondatore e il 40° anniversario di professione religiosa e missionaria di p. Gabriel Basuzwa.

Il 4 novembre p. Basuzwa ha predicato il ritiro. Il giorno successivo, su delega del Superiore Regionale, lo stesso p. Basuzwa ha ricevuto il rinnovo dei voti temporanei dei giovani confratelli durante l’Eucaristia da lui presieduta e accompagnata dal coro Guido Maria Conforti. Lo stesso giorno, alle ore 17, si sono uniti alla comunità Saveriana del Teologato e alla comunità saveriana della parrocchia di Saint Bernard, gli amici, i parenti, i conoscenti e il gruppo dei Missionari Laici Saveriani (quest’ultimo costituito nel mese di ottobre 2023). Verso le 20 si sono dovute fermare le danze che avevano iniziato dopo la cena, condivisa in allegria e grande convivialità.

A causa della sospensione improvvisa e inaspettata del servizio di rilascio dei visti da parte dell’Ambasciata italiana a Kinshasa, i genitori del nostro confratello Gustave Kagarabi Cibangala (al punto di partire per Parma) sono rimasti con noi, muovendo insieme a noi alcuni passi di danza non solo in onore del loro figlio che a Parma, appunto, emetteva lo stesso giorno i voti perpetui insieme ad altri tre confratelli, seguendo la celebrazione grazie agli attuali mezzi di comunicazione, ma anche in onore della grande famiglia carismatica che formiamo. In communion with our entire Institute, on November 5^th, 2023, we celebrated our Founder and father. The day was marked by three events: the renewal of temporary vows, the birth of a new choir linked to our Chapel and named after our Founder, and the 40^th anniversary of Fr. Gabriel Basuzwa’s religious and missionary profession.

On November 4^th, Fr. Basuzwa preached our retreat. The following day, having been delegated by the Regional Superior, the same Fr. Basuwza received the renewal of the temporary vows made by the young confreres during the Eucharistic celebration presided over by him and accompanied by the Guido Maria Conforti Choir. On the same day, at 5:00 p.m., friends, relatives, acquaintances and the group of Xaverian Lay Missionaries (that was established in October 2023) joined the Xaverian community of the Theologate and the Xaverian community of Saint Bernard Parish. Not until around 8:00 p.m.  dances were stopped; they had started after the supper, which we shared with joy and great conviviality.

Due to the sudden and unexpected suspension of visa issuances by the Italian Embassy in Kinshasa, the parents of our confrere Gustave Kagarabi Cibangala (they were about to leave for Parma) remained with us, and even did few dance moves to honour their son who, along with other three confreres, on that very day was making his perpetual profession in Parma while his parents were following the celebration through the modern means of communication, and also to honour our great charismatic family.
