Chinese Delegation’s Report

For the Chinese delegation the preparation to the Mission Conference has been a stimulus to personal and community reflection. However, how to combine the reflections made in Beijing with those of the Taipei group has been the first difficulty met in drafting our report. As a matter of fact, China’s political climate does not allow for direct and open communication between our two communities. This fact had a bearing on the writing of this paper whose final version could not be elaborated together and reviewed by all. Moreover, despite being one delegation, in the course of time the two milieus we live in have led us to adopt different perspectives of missionary endeavour. Such diversification explains why there is a double perspective in our document.
