The mission is the heart of our life and vocation. Consequently, it is a central topic for us, with the risk of making this report the copy of a report to the General Chapter1. We will therefore deliberately limit our attention to some aspects, reflecting above all on the figure of the missionary and leaving to you the topics that are more connected to the “work on the ground”. The Conference is being celebrated in the year of the Founder’s Canonization, an event that confirms the relevance of Bishop Conforti’s charism and calls upon us to re-launch it with conviction. The direct reference to St. Guido, but above all his presence during these days, should leave its mark on our entire community life and our reflection. “The life and the words of the Founder are a singular source of inspiration for our apostolic life” (C 1).
