CONGO REPUBBLICA DEMOCRATICA
Si segnala la pubblicazione, a cura della Direzione Regionale, di Partage n. 20 Après l’Assemblée sx 2015. Orientations de la Région. Vengono presentate la vita saveriana, la dimensione missionaria e l’economia, con lo scopo dichiarato «di vivere la nostra consacrazione missionario al passo con la congregazione e rispondendo alle sfide del Regno di Dio oggi». ITALIA
È pronto il numero speciale di “Vita nostra” (febbraio 2015, n. 240), dal titolo “Corro verso la meta…” (Fil. 3,14), dedicato interamente ai confratelli malati e anziani assistiti in Italia. Ne sono state stampate 400 copie; è possibile richiederne allo CSAM (Brescia).
Milano, 4 marzo: presso le Missionarie dell’Immacolata, ha avuto luogo il primo incontro 2015 della FESMI (Federazione Stampa Missionaria Italiana). Erano presenti 10 testate missionarie, tra cui quelle dello CSAM di Brescia. All’odg l’attualissimo tema “Stampa missionaria e social media, con enfasi su FB e Google plus”. Il pomeriggio è stato dedicato al contratto tra France Press e le riviste che ne acquistano le foto. La “lezione” sui social, è a disposizione un pdf presso “Missione Oggi”: [email protected]
BRESCIA
La sera del 1° marzo si è chiusa la Mostra “Warega, i Signori della Foresta congolese”. Grande soddisfazione degli organizzatori per il successo di pubblico, entusiasta e soddisfatto, per questa opportunità unica in Italia, di conoscere una cultura africana così ricca e significativa, attraverso pezzi assolutamente originali. Ad accogliere i numerosi visitatori, erano presenti i PP. G. Tam e M. Campagnolo.
SIERRA LEONE
Domenica 22 febbraio, Mongo Bendugu, nella diocesi di Makeni, ha celebrato il IV anniversario della fondazione della parrocchia. Hanno concelebrato il parroco P. Sudarmanto (Indonesiano), P. Birabaluge (zairese) e il Regionale P. Di Sopra. Questi ha ricordato che il giorno della fondazione Mons. Biguzzi aveva detto: «Lancio la palla a voi parrocchiani; spetta a voi ora giocare la partita». Dopo 4 anni, la partita continua.
Da Makeni P. Di Sopra scrive: «L’ebola qui non è finita. La settimana scorsa ci sono stati dai 15 ai 18 nuovi casi al giorno, qualcosa che non ci si aspettava. Il Presidente ha imposto di nuovo le restrizioni per viaggiare con i soliti posti di blocco. Si parla della riapertura delle scuole alla fine mese ma c’è molta incertezza. La Liberia è stata dichiarata oggi libera dall’ebola ma per la Sierra Leone e Guinea la strada è più lunga...».

The Regional Direction has published Partage no. 20 Après l’Assemblée sx 2015. Orientations de la Région. Contents: Xaverian life, missionary dimension and finances, in view of «living our missionary consecration in line with the Congregation, and responding to the challenges of the Kingdom of God today». The document is available on the General Direction’s website.
ITALY
A special issue of “Vita nostra” (February 2015, no. 240), “Corro verso la meta…” (Ph 3:14), is entirely dedicated to the assisted sick and elderly confreres in Italy. 400 copies have been printed and are available on request from CSAM (Brescia).
Milan, 4 Mar: the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate hosted the first 2015 meeting of FESMI (Federazione Stampa Missionaria Italiana). 10 missionary publications were represented, among them the CSAM of Brescia. The meeting discussed a very topic issue: “Missionary press and social media, especially Facebook and Google”. The afternoon was dedicated to the contract between France Press and the magazines that acquire its photographs. BRESCIA
1 March: closure of the Exhibition “Warega, i Signori della Foresta congolese”. The organizers were happy with the attendance numbers and the enthusiasm and satisfaction shown by the public. It was a unique experience for people in Italy to become acquainted with such a rich and important African culture through the vision of the original exhibits. The visitors were welcomed by Frs. G. Tam and M. Campagnolo.
SIERRA LEONE
Mongo Bendugu, Makeni diocese, 22 Feb: the parish celebrated the fourth anniversary of its foundation. Concelebrants: the parish priest Sudarmanto (Indonesia), Fr. Birabaluge (Congo) and the Regional Superior, Fr. Di Sopra. They recalled how Bishop Biguzzi said on the foundation day: «The ball is in the hands of the parishioners now; it is up to you to play the game». Four years on, the game continues.
Fr. Di Sopra writes from Makeni: «the Ebola crisis has not yet ended here. Last week there were 15-18 new cases each day, and this was unexpected. The President has once again imposed restrictions on travel with road blocks. It is said that the schools will reopen at the end of the month, but there is still much uncertainty. Liberia was declared free of Ebola today, but for Sierra Leone and Guinea there is still a long way to go...».

The center pages of the March issue are dedicated to the three confreres, Br. Faccin and Frs. L. Carrara and G. Didonè, who died as martyrs in the Congo 50 years ago.
