Dal 25 marzo al 25 aprile i Consiglieri P. Antonio López Villaseñor e Javier Peguero Pérez sono in Mozambico per la visita canonica alle comunità Saveriane.
ALTO SOLIMÕES
Sono già trascorsi cento giorni dall’arrivo di Dom Adolfo Zon Pereira a Tabatinga. Sta prendendo contatto con le grandi sfide di quell’angolo amazzonico. «Tra queste, le distanze enormi lungo i fiumi Solimões, Javarí con i loro grandi affluenti, che obbligano a interminabili ore di motoscafo. Diversità di culture, tripla frontiera con tutti i problemi e le opportunità del caso, dodici etnie di Indios, più di 400 comunità lungo i fiumi, le periferie delle città. Pochi sacerdoti (16, compresi i Padri Cappuccini che sono presenti in quattro parrocchie) e poche religiose per un campo così vasto».
BANGLADESH
Dhaka, 21 Marzo: davanti al Press Club la Christian Bangladesh Association, suore della Shanti Rani e Salesiane, giovani del movimento studentesco BCSM (Bangladesh catholic students moviment), alcuni Padri Saveriani e altri giovani hanno formato una catena umana per denuncia-re l’uccisione di cristiani in Pakistan e la violenza a una suora in India. I vari interventi hanno rivendicato il diritto di professare la propria fede: “siamo cristiani, ma siamo persone e in quanto persone dobbiamo essere rispettate”.
SUORE GIUSEPPINE
Dal 20 al 28 febbraio si è svolto il Capitolo Generale delle Suore fondate da Mons. Calza. Tutte presenti (28) tranne una, ammalata. Le sorelle si sono riconosciute nel carisma missionario di S. Guido Conforti. Hanno rinnovato l’impegno di andare verso le zone meno servite della diocesi e della nazione per ravvivare la fede dei cristiani, creando piccole comunità di preghiera e attirare nuove persone al Vangelo. Altre tematiche discusse: l’animazione vocazionale, la formazione e la celebrazione del centenario di fondazione 1916-2016.

GENERAL DIRECTION
25 March-25 April: the General Councilors, Fr. Antonio López Villaseñor and Fr. Javier Peguero Pérez, are in Mozambique for the canonical visit to the Xaverian communities.
ALTO SOLIMÕES
Bishop Adolfo Zon Pereira has completed his first one hundred days in Tabatinga. He is coming to grips with the great challenges of that particular corner of the Amazons, among them «the enormous distances along the rivers Solimões and Javarí with their great tributaries, which oblige us to endure interminable hours on the motorboat. There is also the diversity of cultures, three frontiers with all their connected problems and opportunities, twelve ethnic groups of Indigenous peoples, more than 400 communities along the river, the outskirts of the cities. To cover such a vast field, we only have a few priests (16, including the Capuchin Fathers who are present in four parishes) and some sisters».
BANGLADESH
Dhaka, 21 Mar: the Christian Bangladesh Association, sisters of Shanti Rani and Salesian sisters, members of the Bangladesh Catholic students movement), some Xaverian Fathers and other young people formed a human chain in front of the Press Club to protest against the murder of Christians in Pakistan and the rape of a sister in India. The various interventions demanded the right to profess one’s faith: “we are Christians, but we are also persons and as such we must be respected”.
SISTERS OF ST. JOSEPH
20-28 Feb: The sisters, founded by Bishop Calza, held their General Chapter. 28 sisters took part, one was absent because of illness. The sisters acknowledged their connection with the missionary charism of St. Guido Maria Conforti. They renewed their commitment to go to the less-served areas of the diocese and the country to revive the faith of the Christians, by creating small communities of prayer and attract new people to the Gospel. They also discussed the following topics: vocation animation, formation and the celebration of the centenary of their foundation (1916-2016).

Armenia, 16-21 Mar: the Regional Assembly discussed the new Ratio Formationis, Vocational Accompaniment of candidates, the use of the Mass-Media, Ongoing Formation, the financial situation and the CEMLA meeting.
