La festa della Presentazione del Signore del 2 febbraio 2021 riveste un significato particolare perché si celebra la XXV Giornata mondiale della vita consacrata. E per noi Saveriani, questo appuntamento avviene nell’Anno Giubilare Saveriano 2020-2021. La Lettera della Direzione Generale La vocazione alla quale siamo stati chiamati non potrebbe essere più nobile e più grande, infatti, ha invitato tutta la famiglia Saveriana ad esprimere il rendimento di grazie al Signore per il dono della vita religiosa, memoria della bellezza della vocazione-missione innestata nella grazia battesimale del popolo di Dio, segno profetico della trasfigurazione all’umanità di Cristo casto, povero e obbediente. Le comunità in cui oggi viviamo sono composte sempre più da fratelli provenienti da nazioni diverse. Queste comunità sono la prima testimonianza della Chiesa delle genti, stimolo di una fraternità senza confini audacemente voluta dal Fondatore: lavorando con sempre crescente ardore alla dilatazione del Vangelo tra i non cristiani. L’editoriale di questa settimana è scritto a più mani: Una Presencia que genera esperanza... (“Una presenza che genera speranza...”). È il contributo riflettuto e elaborato insieme da 5 confratelli diaconi - di 5 nazionalità diverse - della Teologia Internazionale di Città del Messico: Mitra Tufan (Bangladesh), Serge Clovis Kennie Kowa (Cameroun), Marselinus Yerisko (Indonesia), Emmanuel Mushagalusa Bwalande (Repubblica Democratica del Congo) e Irvin Alonso Gutiérrez Hernández (Messico). I cinque confratelli hanno emesso la Professione Perpetua il 31 ottobre 2020 e ricevuto l’ordinazione diaconale il 5 dicembre 2020 a Città del Messico. Cliccare qui.

The feast of the Presentation of the Lord that takes place on February 2^nd, 2021 acquires a particular significance for it coincides with the 25^th World Day of Consecrated Life. For the Xaverians, this same appointment occurs during the Xaverian Jubilee Year 2020-2021. The General Direction’s letter The Vocation to Which We Have Been Called Could not be Greater or more Noble has invited the whole Xaverian family to express gratitude to the Lord for the gift of religious life. Religious consecration is a memorial of the beauty of the vocation-mission that stems from the baptismal grace of God’s people; it is a prophetic sign of the transfigured humanity of the chaste, poor and obedient Christ. Nowadays, our communities are increasingly composed by brothers from different nationalities. These communities represent the first testimony of the Church of the gentiles, that is, a stimulus for that fraternity without boundaries so audaciously pursued by the Founder who thought of the Xaverians as: working with ever increasing zeal for the spreading of the Gospel among non-Christians (LT 1).

This week editorial, A Presence that generates hope..., has several authors. It is a contribution resulting from the common reflection and writing by five confreres who are deacons of the International Theologate in Mexico City and come from five different nationalities. They are Mitra Tufan (Bangladesh), Serge Clovis Kennie Kowa (Cameroun), Marselinus Yerisko (Indonesia), Emmanuel Mushagalusa Bwalande (Democratic Republic of Congo) and Irvin Alonso Gutiérrez Hernández (Mexico).
