“…sono passati dieci anni da quando un gruppo di battezzati, che si riunivano mensilmente per meditare la Parola di Dio, ascoltando testi di San Guido sull’umanità famiglia e sul sogno di Gesù di farla divenire una famiglia in Cristo, decisero di unirsi per fare qualcosa. Cosa? In quei giorni gli addetti alla viabilità pubblicavano statistiche sugli incidenti stradali e sulle migliaia di morti in strada.  L’attenzione cadde sugli incidenti stradali e sulle migliaia di morti in strada. Occorre, si dicevano, ricordare che l’altro, quello che ti sorpassa a velocità proibita, quello che passa con il semaforo rosso è tuo fratello. Naturalmente tutto deve cominciare da noi, prudenza e osservanza delle regole stradali perché l’altro, che io potrei ferire, è mio fratello.

Il primo passo: preparare un’immagine con preghiere per l’inizio del viaggio e di ringraziamento al terminare il viaggio. In seguito, venne la proposta di porre un'immagine ai bordi di qualche strada e naturalmente fu scelta la Madonna della Strada che San Guido aveva mandato in Cina e che è venerata nel santuario a Parma…

In questa memoria di Maria Regina della Pace, 22 agosto 2025, si è inaugurato il quarto “marco”. Questa volta si è riusciti anche ad avere in uso una sala adiacente al distributore di benzina e al ristorante con la possibilità di proporre e offrire materiale di animazione missionaria e di catechesi in genere. Abbiamo in programma di marcare una presenza per eventuali dialoghi con chi sentisse il bisogno di un dialogo umano, fraterno e cristiano… Chi si ferma per il pieno di benzina potrà anche fare il pieno di Vangelo…”. “Ten years have already passed since a group of baptised, who used to meet every month to meditate on the Word of God and listen to St Guido’s writings on Jesus’ dream to make of humanity one single family – His family –, decided to get together and do something. What? In those days, traffic officials were publishing statistics on traffic accidents and speaking of the thousands of road deaths. The group’s attention was drawn to the accidents and thousands of deaths on the roads. They said, it is necessary to remember that he who overtakes you at a breakneck speed, he who runs the red light, is your brother. Obviously, any change must begin from ourselves by exerting prudence and abiding by the traffic rules, because the other whom I may harm is my brother.

The first step: preparing an image with prayers for the beginning of a trip and thanksgivings for the end of it. Subsequently, the proposal to place an image at the borders of some road emerged. The choice fell naturally on the image of Madonna della Strada (Madonna of the Road) which St Guido sent to China and which is now venerated at his Shrine in Parma.  …

On the recent memorial day of Mary Queen of Peace, August 22^nd, 2025, the fourth marco was inaugurated. This time the group was able to obtain permission to use a room next to the filling-station and the restaurant where to propose and offer materials for the promotion of mission awareness or for catechesis. The group plans to ensure the presence of someone available for those who feel the need of a human, brotherly and Christian dialogue. … Thus, anyone who stops to refuel with gasoline can also fill up with the Gospel.” (Alfiero Ceresoli s.x.)
