“QUALCOSA DI NUOVO GERMOGLIA”
Il primo gruppo di novizi, da quando il noviziato è stato spostato da Kinshasa a Kilomoni, nella diocesi di Uvira (Repubblica Democratica del Congo), si sta preparando a concludere l’anno canonico iniziato il 2 luglio 2022.
Con la Grazia di Dio, l’attenzione ed accompagnamento costante della direzione generale e regionale, e lo spirito di flessibilità dimostrato dai giovani e dai loro formatori, le molte sfide incontrate sono state progressivamente superate.
Novizi e pre-novizi, alcuni dei quali hanno soltanto terminato l’anno di propedeutica mentre altri hanno completato gli studi filosofici, non solo si sono dovuti inserire nella vita comunitaria e adattare al programma formativo che è stato da poco ristrutturato in Africa, ma si sono anche inseriti con molta pazienza nella realtà pastorale della quasi parrocchia che è stata recentemente creata a Kilomoni.
Il noviziato terminerà il 26 giugno 2023, alle 10 del mattino, con la professione dei voti religiosi da parte di 7 giovani confratelli:

- Gloire Murhabazi Basabanya (R. D. Congo)
- Ernest Muheto (Burundi)
- Osias Bigirimana (Burundi)
- Vianney Ngendahimana (Burundi)
- Davy Irakiza (Burundi)
- Eugene Ledoux Wabo Mbetchum (Camerun).
La Messa sarà celebrata nella grande cappella dei Missionari Saveriani di Kilomoni e sarà presieduta dal superiore generale, p. Fernando García Rodríguez, con la partecipazione di confratelli provenienti da Bukavu e Bujumbura.
Consideriamo queste professioni, celebrate alla vigilia del nostro XVIII Capitolo Generale, come “qualcosa di nuovo che germoglia” (cf. Is. 43, 19), come un nuovo inizio. Preghiamo, attraverso l’intercessione di San Francesco Saverio e di San Guido Maria Conforti, affinché questi nuovi confratelli non trascurino niente di tutto ciò che può continuare ad aiutarli ad “amare la nostra vocazione saveriana” (Valentin Shukuru Bihaira s.x.)
“SOMETHING NEW, SPRINGING FORTH”
After its relocation from Kinshasa to Kilomoni, diocese of Uvira, Democratic Republic of Congo, the first batch of the Novitiate of Kilomoni is preparing to conclude the canonical year begun on July 2nd, 2022.
By God’s grace and with the constant attention and accompaniment of both the General and the Regional Directions as well as the spirit of flexibility shown by the young people and their formators, the many challenges encountered have been gradually overcome.
In addition to their own insertion into the community life and in this new beginning as the result of the current restructuring of initial formation in Africa, Novices and Pre-novices, some of whom have only finished the Propaedeutic year while others have graduated from philosophy, also inserted themselves, with much patience, in the pastoral reality of the freshly created quasi-parish of Kilomoni.
The Novitiate will end on June 26th, 2023, at 10.00 am, with the profession of religious vows by 7 young confreres:

The Mass will be celebrated in the big chapel of Xaverian Missionaries in Kilomoni and it will be presided over by the Superior General, Fr. Fernando García Rodríguez with the participation of confreres coming from Bukavu and Bujumbura.
Celebrated on the eve of our XVIII General Chapter, we see in these first professions that “something new, springing forth” (cf. Is 43, 19) and which inaugurates a new beginning. Let us pray that through the intercession of Saint Francis Xavier and Saint Guido Maria Conforti, these new confreres will never neglect anything that can continue to help them “loving our Xaverian vocation”.
