Su Caro Capitolo, scrive la signora Maria Reiko Aoki, laica giapponese da tanti anni vicina ai saveriani e, insieme ad altri, molto interessata alla formazione di un laicato saveriano in Giappone, appena nascente. Con semplicità, esprime la sua gratitudine a tutti i missionari che hanno dato la loro vita per il dono del Vangelo nella terra del Sol levante. «Speriamo sinceramente che possiate inviare in Giappone altri saveriani. Anche in Giappone desideriamo vedere l'inizio delle attività della Famiglia Carismatica Saveriana … Pensiamo che lavorando insieme, i saveriani e i laici possiamo aiutarci a crescere e maturare la fede nei cristiani, soprattutto cercando di ri-trovare i giovani e andando verso chi non è ancora cristiano». In Amare la nostra vocazione saveriana, pubblichiamo la testimonianza dei confratelli della comunità di Fndeq: Il cammino dei saveriani in Marocco. Ci raccontano gli inizi e lo sviluppo della presenza saveriana in questa “nuova” missione, dove siamo ormai da tre anni. «Continuiamo a scommettere sulla presenza saveriana qualificata in Marocco. … Speriamo che possano venire altri Saveriani e scoprano con entusiasmo che nel XXIº secolo si può testimoniare il carisma saveriano in mezzo ai nostri fratelli e sorelle musulmani». Si sono conclusi gli Incontri online per continenti, sul tema del CG, Amare la nostra vocazione saveriana (in Africa, America, Asia e Europa). Il Comitato preparatorio ringrazia i relatori e tutti quelli che sono intervenuti, ascoltando e/o condividendo le proprie riflessioni. Questa attività è stata un momento fruttuoso di conoscenza e di sensibilizzazione della nostra Famiglia alla missione ad gentes oggi. Speriamo abbia aiutato anche il lavoro di preparazione dei Delegati capitolari.
L’ultima riunione del Comitato Preparatorio si è tenuta lo scorso mercoledì 7 giugno. Abbiamo rivisto la bozza finale del documento di Sintesi dei contributi alle Schede tematiche. In questi prossimi giorni, il testo sarà consegnato ai capitolari e messo a disposizione dei confratelli. P. Fernando ha ringraziato tutti per il lavoro realizzato con costanza, entusiasmo e spirito di servizio.
Informiamo che il Comitato ha terminato il suo lavoro. Si ringrazia per l’accoglienza e la partecipazione che tantissimi confratelli e comunità hanno donato alle attività concretizzate nel cammino di preparazione al XVIII CG, cominciato un anno fa. Dio ci benedica e … Buon Capitolo Generale!
On Dear Chapter, writes Mrs. Maria Reiko Aoki, a Japanese laywoman who has been close to the Xaverians for many years and, together with others, is very interested in the formation of a Xaverian laity in Japan, which is just nascent. With simplicity, she expresses her gratitude to all the missionaries who gave have given lives for the gift of the Gospel in the land of the Rising Sun. «We sincerely hope that you can send more Xaverians to Japan. Also in Japan, we would like to see the beginning of the activities of the Xaverian Charismatic Family ... We think that by working together, the Xaverians and the laity can help to make grow and mature faith in Christians, especially by trying to re-find the youth and reaching out to those who are not yet Christians». In Loving our Xaverian vocation, we publish the testimony of our confreres of the community of Fndeq: The journey of the Xaverians in Morocco. They tell us about the beginnings and development of the Xaverian presence in this "new" mission, where we have been for three years now. «We continue to bet on the qualified Xaverian presence in Morocco. ... We hope that other Xaverians will come and discover with enthusiasm that in the 21st century we can witness the Xaverian charism in the midst of our Muslim brothers and sisters». Read more.
The online meetings by continents, on the theme of the GC, Loving our Xaverian vocation (in Africa, America, Asia e Europa), have come to an end. The Preparatory Committee thanks the speakers and all those who attended, listening and/or sharing their reflections. This activity was a fruitful moment of knowledge and awareness of our Family to the mission ad gentes today. We hope it also helped the work of preparation for the Chapter Delegates.
The last meeting of the Preparatory Committee was held on Wednesday, 7 June. We reviewed the final draft of the Summary document of the contributions to the Thematic Sheets. In the next few days, the text will be handed over to the Chapter Delegates and made available to all confreres. Fr Fernando, who attended the meeting, thanked everyone for the work done with perseverance, enthusiasm and spirit of service.
The Preparatory Committee thus has completed its work. We are grateful for the welcome and participation that so many confreres and communities have given to the activities carried out in the preparation for the 18th GC; activities that began about a year ago. God bless & Happy General Chapter!
