Dal 17 al 22 settembre 2022 la comunità di Teologia ha tenuto gli Esercizi Spirituali per l’inizio del nuovo anno formativo. Il predicatore degli esercizi è stato p. Philibert Ntahimpera sx. P. Philibert è il primo saveriano burundese. Attualmente svolge il servizio di parroco nella parrocchia di San Guido Maria Conforti a Kamenge, Bujumbura (Burundi).

Dal primo giorno di ottobre fino a venerdì 7, la comunità ha trascorso un tempo di riposo presso il Centro di Spiritualità Emmaus di Kisantu (diocesi di Kisantu), a 120 kilometri da Kinshasa. È stato un tempo di distensione e relax per gli studenti che durante le scorse vacanze estive si sono presi cura della casa, dell’allevamento (maiali, capre, conigli…) e della preparazione di tutti i pasti. Hanno inoltre dipinto tutte le mura di recinzione della casa. In questo contesto di tranquillità, abbiamo dedicato due giorni per l’elaborazione del Progetto Comunitario di Vita 2022-2023. Per questo importante momento era presente anche il superiore regionale, p. Bernard Cibambo Rubibi sx.

Il 07 ottobre siamo rientrati a casa. Qui abbiamo rincontrato il nostro confratello p. Jean-Claude Chobowa sx, membro della comunità parrocchiale di San Bernard, il quale con molta generosità ha accettato di vigilare la casa durante la nostra assenza.  

Iniziamo così il nuovo anno formativo, incoraggiati e illuminati dal tema del XVIII Capitolo Generale: “Amiamo la nostra vocazione saveriana”.

La comunità è formata da 13 confratelli: 10 studenti e tre padri. Due dei confratelli padri sono impegnati negli studi di specializzazione nel campo della Filosofia e della Teologia. Preghiamo ad invicem. (Katindi Ramanzani sx)

From September 17^th to 22^nd, 2022, the community of the theologate held its Spiritual Exercises for the beginning of the new school year. Invited preacher was Fr. Philibert Ntahimpera s.x., the first Xaverian from Burundi. He is currently serving as pastor of St Guido Maria Conforti Parish in Kamenge, Bujumbura (Burundi).

From the first day of October to Friday 7^th, the community spent a period of rest at the Emmaus Centre for Spirituality of Kisantu (Diocese of Kisantu), located at 120 km distance from Kinshasa. It has been a time of recreation and relax for the young Xaverians that during the Summer holidays took care of the house, the farm (pigs, goats, rabbits…) and of cooking the meals. They also painted the entire wall surrounding the house. In the quiet place of the spirituality centre, the theologate dedicated two days for the drafting of the Community Project of Life 2022-2023. Fr. Bernard Cibambo Rubibi s.x., regional superior, was alto present at this important moment.

On October 7^th, the community returned home where they met once again our confrere Fr. Jean-Claude Chobowa Aganze s.x., member of the parish community of St Bernard, who had very generously accepted to watch over the house during the community’s absence.

Thus, the Theologate begins a new formation year, encouraged and enlightened by the theme of the XVIII General Chapter: “Loving our Xaverian Vocation.”

The community is made up of 13 confreres: 10 students and three fathers. Two of the fathers are involved in specialised studies in the fields of philosophy and theology. Let us pray for each other. (Katindi Ramanzani s.x.)
