Oggi, 15 ottobre, è stata inviata a tutti i confratelli la Newsletter n.2 dedicata al cammino di preparazione al XVIII Capitolo generale e curata dal Comitato Preparatorio. Fa parte del nostro impegno per aggiornare i confratelli sulle attività che si stanno realizzando e per ricordare a ciascuno di fare la propria parte per il buon esito del processo di preparazione.  Grazie.

Nella sezione Caro Capitolo, questa settimana pubblichiamo l’intervento di p. Daniele Targa, sx impegnato attualmente nel servizio ai confratelli ammalati, al IV piano della Casa Madre. Nella sua condivisione leggiamo: «… Nel mio servizio attuale, a volte vedo la sofferenza, in quei rientri ‘forzati’ in Italia, di tanti confratelli anziani malati. E mi domando se, con queste decisioni, la nostra dimensione ad extra rischi di perdere di qualità, come testimonianza. … Quanto vorrei che la vita dei nostri confratelli ‘diversamente giovani’, con i loro acciacchi, possa essere ancora una forza di testimonianza in terra di missione … Come riuscire a dare la giusta dignità, fino alla fine, al confratello malato che desidera terminare in missione la sua vita?» Leggi tutto

Today, 15 October, Newsletter No. 2, dedicated to the preparation for the 18th General Chapter and edited by the Preparatory Committee, was sent to all the confreres. It is part of our commitment to update the confreres on the activities that are taking place and to remind each one to do their part for the success of the preparation process. Thank you.

In the Caro Capitolo section, this week we publish the intervention of Fr. Daniele Targa,sx who is currently engaged in the service of the sick confreres, on the IV floor of the Mother House. In his sharing, we read: «... In my present service, I sometimes see the suffering of so many sick elderly confreres ‘forced’ to return to Italy. And I wonder if, with these decisions, our ad extra dimension risks losing quality, as a testimony. ... How I wish that the life of our 'diversamente giovani' brothers, with their ailments, could still be a strength for witness in mission lands! ... How can we manage to give the right dignity, right up to the end, to the sick confrere who wishes to end his life in the mission?» Read all

The new window – ‘Risposte’ – of the Homepage of the Preparation for the XVIII General Chapter, contains the contributions received by the Preparatory Committee in response to the questionnaire in Issue n.1. We are receiving a good number of responses, and today a further seven contributions sent by communities or brothers are being 'uploaded' to the site. The page is updated weekly. Click here
