I ragazzi e ragazze delle classi II e III, i docenti e la dirigente del Liceo Statale “Regina Margherita” di Salerno (Sud d’Italia) scrivono ai pp. Ferdinandus Supandri sx e Esterel Gaël Anantia Fouape sx:

Vogliamo ringraziare i due missionari, che per qualche mese, ci hanno fatto vivere momenti importanti di riflessione, facendoci allo stesso tempo divertire.

Tramite questi incontri, fatti di attività pratiche svolte sotto la vostra guida, ci avete insegnato: l’importanza della collaborazione e quindi a stare insieme e aiutarci a vicenda; ed apprezzare le persone che  ci circondano e vedere in loro non gli aspetti negativi ma quelli positivi.

Abbiamo capito l’importanza dell’amore, non solo da donare ai bisognosi, agli sconosciuti e a chi è vittima di pregiudizi, ma anche a noi stessi, giorno dopo giorno. Tutti, infatti, dobbiamo andare avanti nonostante le difficoltà, con la consapevolezza della presenza di Dio che ci sostiene.

Per finire ci scusiamo per quelle volte in cui avremmo potuto risparmiare qualche chiacchiera tra noi, ma vi assicuriamo che i vostri messaggi sono arrivati alla mente e al cuore di tutti noi e vi siamo grati per averci dedicato tempo, amore, passione e pazienza…

Ai due confratelli è stata consegnata una targa commemorativa con queste parole finali: “grati per aver donato momenti di libertà, comunione, di crescita e intesa ai nostri alunni. Con affetto…”. 

Boys and girls of II and III years, teachers and the director of "Regina Margherita" state high school in Salerno (South of Italy) wrote to Fr. Ferdinandus Supandri s.x. and Esterel Gaël Anantia Fouape s.x.:

We want to thank the two missionaries that, for a few months, made us experience important moments of reflection, while also entertaining us.

Through those meetings and the practical activities carried out under your guidance, you have taught us: the importance of collaboration and, therefore, of being together and helping each other; and to appreciate people around us and see in them not the negative aspects but the positive ones.

We appreciated the importance of love, not only for those in need, for the strangers and for those who are victims of prejudice, but also for ourselves, day after day. In fact, we must all keep moving on, despite difficulties, with the awareness of the presence of God who sustains us. 

Finally, we want to apologise for the times we could not restrain ourselves from chatting among ourselves. However, we want to reassure you that your messages have reached the mind and heart of every one of us, and we are grateful to you for the time, love, passion and patience you dedicated to us…

The two confreres were presented with a commemorative plaque and these final words: “Grateful to you for giving moments of freedom, communion, growth and understanding to our students. With love…”
