- In Amare la nostra vocazione saveriana, è p. Gabriele Ferrari, sx che condivide una articolata riflessione a partire dalle sue attese riguardo al prossimo CG. L’autore le chiama Riflessioni di un confratello anziano, nelle quali afferma: «Mi aspetto una decisione non solo teorica ma pratica di vivere più pienamente la sequela, una vita che sia trasparenza del Vangelo. Questa è l’intuizione del nostro Fondatore: preparare dei missionari che siano un vangelo vivente e vissuto». Leggi tutto.
- Ricordiamo ai confratelli e alle comunità ‘il compito’ di dedicare una delle loro riunioni settimanali a riflettere sulla Scheda Tematica n.5: Dove siamo. Economia, strutture, governo, pubblicata sul sito della DG lo scorso 14 gennaio 2023 in sei lingue (vedi qui). Fino ad oggi, il Comitato ha ricevuto pochi contributi. Cominceremo a pubblicare le risposte al questionario di questa scheda a partire dalla prossima settimana.

Towards the XVIII General Chapter – (11 February 2023)
- Fr. Juan A. Flores, sx currently working in Morocco, presents his request to the general Chapter members, in a suggestive way: Dear Chapter, tell us once again, in an attractive and persuasive way ... the "story" of our Xaverian vocation! Read here.
- In Loving Our Xaverian Vocation, it is Fr. Gabriele Ferrari, sx who shares a comprehensive reflection starting from his expectations regarding the upcoming GC. The author calls them Reflections of an elderly confrere, in which he states: «I expect a decision that is not only theoretical but practical to live more fully the sequela (discipleship); a life that is a transparency of the Gospel. This is the deepest insight of our Founder: to prepare missionaries who are a living and lived Gospel». Read all.
- We remind the confreres and the communities of their 'homework': to dedicate one of their weekly meetings to reflect on Thematic Sheet No. 5: Where We Are. Economy, Structures, Government. It has been posted on the GD website on 14 January 2023 in six languages (see here). To date, the Committee has received few answers. Next week, we will start posting questionnaire responses on this Issue.
