XXV GIORNATA MONDIALE DELLA VITA CONSACRATA – 2 febbraio 2021

La Congregazione per gli Istituti di Vita Consacrata e le Società di Vita Apostolica ha scritto una lettera indirizzata a tutti i consacrati e le consacrate del mondo in occasione del 25º anniversario della Giornata Mondiale della Vita Consacrata che ricorre il 2 febbraio 2021, Festa della Presentazione di Gesù.
La lettera sottolinea il ruolo profetico degli uomini e delle donne consacrati soprattutto nel contesto delle incertezze, paure e difficoltà causate da Covid-19 Pandemia, chiamati ad essere fari di fraternità nello spirito di Cristo. Il messaggio fa riferimento all'importanza dell'Enciclica Papale Fratelli Tutti ed invita a vivere il suo messaggio.
Papa Francesco presiederà una Celebrazione Eucaristica nella Basilica di San Pietro, alle ore 17,30, il 2 febbraio 2021. Sarà una celebrazione spoglia dei segni e dei volti gioiosi che la illuminavano negli anni precedenti, eppure sempre espressione di quella gratitudine feconda che caratterizza le nostre vite come consacrati.

L’editoriale in preparazione alla celebrazione della Giornata Mondiale della Vita Consacrata è stato scritto dal nostro confratello diacono Cassien Nshimirimana sx, originario del Burundi, e attualmente nel Teologato Internazionale di Manila, Filippine, dove frequenta l’ultimo anno di Teologia. Cassien ha emesso la professione perpetua il 5 novembre 2020 insieme ad altri due confratelli: Lucivaldo De Sousa Costa (Brasile) ed Erasto Torres Carpio (Messico). Nell’estate del 2019 partecipò nella città di Zamboanga (Mindanao – Filippine) al programma organizzato dal Movimento per il Dialogo Silsilah (“Silsilah Dialogue Movement”) il cui tema era “Cristianità e Islam al crocevia” (Christianity and Islam at the Crossroads), con 31 partecipanti: 16 Mussulmani (Sunniti) e 15 Cristiani (13 Cattolici e 2 Protestanti). Ha accolto l’invito di condividere la sua esperienza di vita consacrata come grande potenzialità di maturare la persona, nell’arte delle relazioni in comunità e nell’annuncio del Vangelo ai non Cristiani. The Congregation of Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life has written a Letter addressed to all consecrated persons in the world on the occasion of the 25^th Anniversary of the World Day of Conserated Life, which occurs on February 2^nd – 2021, Feast of the presentation of Jesus in the Temple.
The Letter emphasizes the prophetic role of consecrated men and women, especially in the context of the uncertainties, fears and difficulties caused by Covid-19 Pandemic. They are all called to be beacons of fraternity in the spirit of Christ. The message refers to the importance of the Papal Encyclical ‘Fratelli Tutti’ and invites us to live his message.
Pope Francis will preside the Eucharistic Celebration in St. Peter’s Basilica, at 17:30 pm. on February 2^nd – 2021. It will be a celebration, but without the many smiling faces and the many powerful symbolic signs typical of the past years. Yet, it certainly will be a powerful expression of that fruitful gratitude which characterizes our lives as consecrated persons.

The editorial in preparation for the celebration of World day of Consecrated Life was written by our confrere Cassien Nshimirimana, s.x., originally from Burundi, and currently in the International Xaverian Theologate of Manila, Phillippines, where he is attending the last year of Theology. Cassien Nshimirimana celebrated his Perpetual Profession on November 5^th – 2020 along with two other confreres: Lucivaldo De Sousa Costa (Brazil) and Erasto Torres Carpio (Mexico). In the summer of 2019 he participated in the program organized by the Silsilah Dialogue Movement in the city of Zamboanga (Mindanao – Philippines), whose theme was: “Christianity and Islam at the Crossroads”. There were 31 participants: 16 Muslims (Sunnis) and 15 Christians (13 Catholics and 2 Protestants). Cassien accepted the invitation to share his experience of consecrated life as a great potential to mature the persons, in the art of building community relationships and in the proclamation of the Gospel to non-Christians.
