Crescendo l’invalidità e la vecchiaia, l’incontro col Signore si fa più chiaro e diretto. La carrozzeria è vecchia e ogni tanto perde pezzi. È come se si giocasse una partita col Signore.

Le sue mosse sono impreviste. A volte mi fanno soffrire. Allo stesso tempo provo un grande senso di pace e serenità perché ho scoperto il tallone di Achille del Signore, cioè che Lui vuole sempre e solo il mio bene. Sì, sempre e solo il mio bene. Allora, quando la partita mi porterà sul Calvario per l’ultima mossa, sarò anch’io vincitore. Riceverò la vita di una bellezza e potenzialità inesprimibili. Dio è grande nell’amore. Sì, Dio è grande. His moves are unpredictable. Sometimes they make me suffer. But, at the same time, I experience a great sense of peace and serenity, because I have discovered which is the Lord’s Achilles’ heel: that is the fact that He always and only wants what is good for me. Yes, always and only my good. Then, when this game will take me to the Calvary for the last move, I will be a winner too. I will receive a life of inexpressible beauty and potentiality.
