(1931-2020)
Poco dopo le ore 08:00 del 18 marzo 2020, è morto a Parma, in Casa Madre, fr. Guglielmo Saderi. Il confratello aveva 88 anni, essendo nato a Sardara (Cagliari – IT) il 18 novembre 1931.
Proveniente dal mondo agricolo, il giovane Guglielmo sente il richiamo alla missione nel 1949 in occasione dell’ordinazione sacerdotale del p. Antonio Ibba (cfr. Testimonianza del p. Giuseppe Ibba).
All’inizio del 1950 entra tra i Missionari Saveriani nella loro casa di Tortolì. Dopo alcuni mesi trascorsi a Macomer e a Parma in servizi vari, nel dicembre del 1951 Guglielmo passa a Piacenza per il Noviziato che porta a termine a Parma, emettendo la Prima Professione, come Fratello coadiutore, il giorno 8 dicembre 1952.
Dopo la Professione, fr. Guglielmo rimane a Parma lavorando come sarto. Nel 1955 viene mandato a Piacenza come sacrestano in Teologia. Nel 1956 rientra a Parma dove lavora ancora come sarto (1956-1961).
Dietro sua richiesta, nel 1961 fr, Guglielmo viene destinato alla missione del Congo, dove svolge l’attività di sarto nella casa saveriana di Uvira (1962-1963) e poi di addetto alla casa dell’Episcopio di Uvira (1963-1964).
Rientrato in Italia, lavora come cuoco nella casa della Procura Generale di Roma (1964-1965), e poi nella Scuola Apostolica di Macomer come addetto alla casa (1965-1966).
Dopo una breve parentesi in Congo (1966-1967) come addetto alla casa dell’Episcopio di Uvira, fr. Guglielmo continua il suo servizio in Italia, prima come incaricato delle Mostre a Massa e Cozzile (1967-1969), e poi come addetto alla casa a Parma (1969-1970).
Dopo un anno di studio della lingua francese a Parigi (1970-1971), fr. Guglielmo rientra in Congo dove riceve l’incarico di economo locale della Domus di Bukavu (1971-1983).
Rientrato in Italia per cure, dopo alcuni mesi viene destinato al Collegio Conforti di Roma come addetto alla casa (1983-1989). In seguito ritorna in Congo come addetto alla casa di Uvira (1989-1992), come addetto alla casa di Kavimvira (1992-1994) e come economo della casa di Uvira (1995).
Dopo un anno come aiuto economo nella casa saveriana di Nogent Sur Marne (1995-1996), fr. Guglielmo viene destinato all’Italia dove svolge i servizi di aiuto economo a Macomer (1996-2002) e di sagrestano e di addetto alla casa in Casa Madre – Parma (2002-2005).
Nel 2005 fr. Guglielmo ritorna in Congo dove, a parte alcuni periodi in Italia per cure, svolge il servizio di accoglienza nella Domus di Bukavu (2005-2007) e nella casa di Kavimvira (2007-2009).
Nel 2010 fr. Guglielmo viene destinato all’Italia, in particolare alla comunità della Casa Madre dove (escluso un anno passato a Cagliari) rimane fino al 18 marzo 2020, quando gli Angeli lo portano al cospetto dell’Altissimo per essere ammesso alla Gloria Celeste.

Bro. Gugliemo Saderi died in the Mother House of Parma on March 18th, 2020, soon after 8:00 am. Born on November 18th, 1931 in the town of Sardara (Cagliari), he was now 88 years old.
Young Guglielmo Saderi, deeply rooted in a farming area, felt called to mission work in 1949, soon after having participated at the celebration of the Priestly Ordination of Fr. Antonio Ibba, s.x. (So testifies Fr. Giuseppe Ibba).
Guglielmo Saderi entered the Xaverian Missionary House of Tortoli in 1950. After some months spent in the Xaverian House of Macomer and in Parma, helping in various services, in December 1951, went for his Novitiate Year to Piacenza. He finished the Novitiate Year in Parma, and celebrated his First Religious Missionary Profession as Brother on December 8, 1952.
After his Religious Profession, Bro. Guglielmo Saderi remained in Parma, working as tailor (1956-1961).
On his own request, in 1961, Bro. Guglielmo Saderi was assigned to work in the mission of Congo. There he worked as tailor in the Xaverian Mission House of Uvira (1962-1963) and, then, moved to the Episcopal Residence in the city of Uvira (1963-1964).
Returned to Italy, Bro. Saderi worked as cook in the Xaverian General Procure House of Rome (1964-1965) and in the Xaverian Apostolic House of Macomer (1965-1966) as active member of the community.
After a brief presence in Congo (1966-1967) as helper in the Episcopal Residence of Uvira, Bro. Guglielmo Saderi continued in his service in Italy, first as responsible of mission expositions in the towns of Massa and Cozzile (1967-1969), and then as helper in the Mother House of Parma (1969-1970).
After a year of study of the French language at Paris (1970-1971), Bro. Guglielmo Saderi returned to Congo. There he was named treasurer of the Religious Domus of Bukavu (1971-1983).
Having to return to Italy for health care, after few months, Bro. Saderi was assigned to the Conforti College House of Rome as community helper (1983-1989). After that, Bro. Saderi returned to Congo and helped in the Xaverian House of Uvira (1989-1992), then in the House of Kavimvira (1992-1994), and as treasurer of the House of Uvira (1995).
After spending one year as helper to the treasurer of the Xaverian House of Nogent Sur Marne (1995-1996), Bro. Guglielmo was again re-assigned to Italy. He helped in various services to the treasurer of the Xaverian House of Macomer (1996-2002) and as sacristan and helper in the Xaverian Mother House of Parma (2002-2005).
In 2005, Bro. Guglielmo Saderi returned to the Democratic Republic of Congo, and, except for brief periods in Italy for health care, became the welcoming Brother in the Xaverian communities of the Domus of Bukavu (2005-2007) and of Kavimvira (2007-2009).
In the year 2010, Bro. Guglielmo Saderi was assigned to Italy, in particular to the Mother House of Parma where, except for one year spent in the Xaverian House of Cagliari, he remained up to March 18th, 2020, when the Angels brought him to the presence of the Almighty God, and so entered into the glorious heaven.
