durante l'anno, la monografia "God
between the lines" e hanno programmato la ricerca missionaria-culturale per il pros-simo anno.

Abaetetuba, 17 luglio: festosa celebra-zione, alla messa vespertina, dei
cinquant’anni di presenza delle Sorelle Saveriane nello Stato del Parà. Con il loro impegno missionario hanno dato vita al Centro Medico per i malati più poveri e per le donne in gravidanza bisognose di aiuto; alla “pastoral da criança” per la crescita sana dei bambini con le loro mamme; e a tante collaborazioni a soste-gno della pastorale diocesana.
La cattedrale era gremita di fedeli che hanno ascoltato il sentito grazie del Vescovo della Diocesi e del Superiore Regionale dei Saveriani. E hanno pregato ringraziando Dio e chiedendo nuove vocazioni per la Famiglia Saveriana.

Jakarta, 10 - 15 Jul: the Asian Study Center held its 14th meeting.
Frs. T. Tosolini (JP), M. Rebecchi (ID), S. Targa (BD) and L. Marchioron (CH), concluded the monograph they worked upon throughout this year: "God between the lines". They also drew up the plans of the missionary-cultural research for the coming year.
NORTH BRAZIL
Abaetetuba, 17 Jul: during the evening Mass, the fifty years of presence of the Xaverian Sisters in the State of Parà were celebrated. The sisters’ missionary commitment has seen the foundation of the Medical Center for the poorest sick people and for pregnant women who need help; the pastoral da criança for the healthy growth of children and their mothers; and many forms of collaboration in the diocesan pastoral ministry.
The cathedral was packed with people who listened to the warm words of gratitude spoken by the diocesan bishop and the Xaverian Regional Superior. They also thanked God and asked him to send new vocations to the Xaverian family.

The Acts of the Continental Meeting of formators in Asia (Introductory year – Philosophy – Novitiate), which took place in Jakarta (3-8 Mar) will soon be sent out.
“The principal points that emerged: the joyful witness of one’s own consecration is the principal form of formation; knowledge of the language is an essential instrument for mutual understanding; the acculturation of the formator makes the Xaverian charism credible; a consistent life in the Xaverian communities is the principal form of vocation animation …” (Introduction).
