Il 29 gennaio 2025, la parrocchia Saveriana di Toasebio ha celebrato l'Eucaristia, presieduta da p. Samuel Pangestu, Vicario Generale dell'archidiocesi di Giacarta, per onorare insieme il Capodanno cinese (2576 Kongzili). Centinaia di cinesi hanno partecipato con entusiasmo alla Messa del Capodanno cinese come ringraziamento a Dio per l'ingresso nel nuovo anno (l'anno del serpente di legno). La liturgia è stata dominata dal color rosso e animata da canti cattolici in mandarino, oltre che dalla lettura e dalla preghiera dell’assemblea in mandarino e indonesiano. Nell'omelia, p. Samuel ha invitato a rafforzare sempre la fratellanza e la famiglia, soprattutto nell'anno giubilare, in modo da mostrare maggiore attenzione e cura reciproca. Insieme alla Comunità di Filosofia era presente anche p. Yohannes Dharmawan Adharius sx, superiore regionale della Circoscrizione indonesiana. La celebrazione si è conclusa con la distribuzione di arance all'assemblea da parte dei sacerdoti e di uno speciale “hongpao” per i parrocchiani, aggiungendo entusiasmo alla celebrazione. On January 29, 2025, the Xaverian Toasebio Parish celebrated the Eucharist, presided over by Fr. Samuel Pangestu, Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Jakarta, to honor together the Chinese New Year (2576 Kongzili). Hundreds of Chinese people enthusiastically took part in the Chinese New Year mass as thanksgiving to God for entering the Chinese New Year (the year of the wooden snake). The liturgy was dominated by the red color red and enlivened with Mandarin Catholic songs, as well as the reading and congregational prayer in Mandarin and Indonesian. In his homily, Fr. Samuel invited to always strengthen brotherhood and family, especially in the jubilee year so that we show more attention and care for each other. Fr Yohannes Dharmawan Adharius sx as the regional superior of the Indonesian circumscription was also present along with the Philosophy Community.
