Dal 22 al 24 novembre 2023, il padre Generale, Fernando García Rodríguez, parteciperà alla 100^a Assemblea della U.S.G., presso la Fraterna Domus di Roma. Il tema dell’assise sarà “Sinodalità: una chiamata rinnovata alla profezia della speranza”. In questa occasione, l’Assemblea sarà realizzata insieme all’Unione Internazionale delle Superiore Generali (U.I.S.G.).

10 rappresentanti nella prima sessione del Sinodo dei Vescovi (4 al 29 ottobre 2023), condivideranno l’esperienza vissuta durante l’Assemblea del Sinodo dei Vescovi e le loro riflessioni sulle principali questioni che hanno affrontato durante i lavori sinodali. In seguito, con altri tre partecipanti, si interrogheranno sulle prospettive aperte per la vita consacrata.

Da ricordare qui la decisione di papa Francesco di estendere la partecipazione all’Assemblea sinodale a “non vescovi” (presbiteri, diaconi, consacrate e consacrati, laici e laiche).

In un secondo momento, “sarà approfondito il tema della ‘profezia della speranza’, in particolare in questi tempi convulsi nella società, nella chiesa e nelle nostre proprie famiglie religiose e missionarie”.

L’Assemblea si concluderà giovedì 23 novembre 2023, al mattino, con l’incontro con papa Francesco e nel pomeriggio con un confronto per gruppi sui “segni di speranza” nella società e nella Chiesa.

From November 22^nd to 24^th, 2023, the General Superior, Fr. Fernando García Rodríguez, will participate in the 100^th Assembly of U.S.G. at the Fraterna Domus, Rome. Title of the event will be Synodality: A Renewed Call to the Prophecy of Hope. On this occasion the Assembly will be held together with the International Union of Superiors General (U.I.S.G.).

Ten delegates at the first session of the Synod of Bishop (October 4^th-9^th, 2023) will share their experience during the Assembly of the Synod of Bishop and their considerations on the main issues dealt with by the synod. Subsequently, three more participants will join them to reflect on the future perspectives for consecrated life.

Here, it must be remembered that Pope Francis decided to expand the participation in the Synodal Assembly to include “non-bishops” (priests, deacons, consecrated men and women, and lay Christians).

In a second moment, “the theme ‘the prophecy of hope’ will be discussed in depth, especially in connection with the turbulent times of our society, church, religious and missionary families.” 

The Assembly will conclude on Thursday, November 23^rd, 2023: in the morning, there will be a meeting with Pope Francis and in the afternoon an exchange in groups on the “signs of hope” in society and in the Church.
