“On-Going Formation is attitude and availability of every confrere to continue, to learn and deepened all that refers to our human, spiritual, intellectual and missionary formation. We must not be deceived by the convictions that our formations ends after the initial formation”

We, the Young Confreres of this Region, has been given the opportunity to gather together for a meeting in our Regional House, Makeni, on February 21-22, 2018.
The meeting was on the response of the program of the On-Going Formation for the Young Confreres. Fr. Carlo Di Sopra, our regional Superior, has directed the meeting and gave us the inputs on the following topics:
- Program of the General Direction, particularly on the First Part: Foundation of our Life.
- Wake Up the World: Conversation of Pope Francis about Religious Life by Antonio Spadaro, SJ and the Pope`s Address to the Schonstatt Fathers (Sept. 2015).
We deepened the topics through our personal reflections and sharing.
From the document of the GD, we gave emphasis on the aspect of Human Dimension.
- Acceptance of our fragility
- Becoming friends and support each other
- Build relationships as being confreres
In the Pope`s documents, we gave emphasis on the Fidelity of the Charism to lead us to be get in-touch to the real situations of where we are.
- Charism is not a distilled bottled water. It is to be lived out according to the places, times and persons
- Strong Xaverian Spirituality in order to keep us going
- Creativity
- Sustainability in order to support each other and share information
We really appreciate the opportunity of coming together. It is indeed meaningful, interactive and express our willingness to cultivate our missionary spirit, in order “to serve the Kingdom of God within the Church” (Cons. 7)
