L'11 marzo 2010, all'ospedale St. Carolus di Jakarta, alle 06.39 (ora locale) è morto il P. Aniceto Morini. Nel 2006 un ictus cerebrale lo aveva ridotto all'immobilità e privato, gradualmente, dell'uso della parola. Nei quattro anni di infermità è stato assistito fraternamente dai Padri e Fratres del Noviziato e i dai Prenovizi.
Era prossimo agli 81 anni, essendo nato a Bagnolo (RE) il 15.4.1929.
Si può dire che P. Aniceto è stato missionario fin dal seno materno: «Avevo sei anni – racconta in una intervista – quando un padre missionario ci fece vedere un documentario e ci chiese se volevamo seguirlo in Cina. Io risposi di sì». Alla fine delle elementari, però, entrò nel seminario diocesano di Guastalla e solo alla fine della quinta ginnasio iniziò l'iter formativo saveriano: Noviziato a S. Pietro in Vincoli con la Prima Professione a Parma (5.11.1947), Liceo a Desio (47-51), prefettato a Macomer (51-52), Teologia a Piacenza (52-56), ordinazione presbiterale nella cattedrale di Piacenza il 4.6.55. Le valutazioni presentate in determinati passaggi dell'iter formativo segnalano in particolare una grande buona volontà e generosità: «La sua condotta è sempre stata molto buona … Si è sempre distinto per attività missionaria, sia in Seminario che in vacanza» (Presentazione per l'entrata all'Istituto). «Pronto e fedele all'obbedienza e molto spirito di sacrificio. Si presta volentieri per gli altri che a volte ne approfittano. Ama molto la vocazione» (Presentazione Prima Professione). «Buona pietà, zelo semplice e intraprendente. Ubbidiente e si presta volentieri per qualsiasi lavoro» (Presentazione Ordini Maggiori).
Dal 1958 ha lavorato in Indonesia, nelle comunità cristiane fino al 99 e successivamente nella formazione. Ha svolto la attività pastorale in particolare: a Pekambaru S. Maria (58-63), Pasaman (64-66; 83-87), Padang Panjang (67-71), Sawalunto (67-68; 71-74; 77-81); Dumai (74-77); Padang Domus: incaricato dei trasmigranti e coordinatore di Zona (87-97); Sawalunto e Kayu Aro (90-97).
«Il mio lavoro, finora e forse per sempre – scriveva il 26.2.59 – sarà quello di "vagabondare" qua e là per conservare un qualche collegamento tra le varie comunità già esistenti. Qui tutto è nuovo e c'è tutto da fare: il lavoro non manca e sono solo … sto cercando il sistema di trovare dei collaboratori .. . [e pensava ai catechisti] che fanno ben sperare» (26.2.59). «… Siamo tutti giovani, senza o con poca esperienza e di caratteri così diversi …» (28.2.60). «Leggeva un po’ di tutto, riproduceva articoli per lui interessanti, raccoglieva dati delle varie culture che convivono qui in Indonesia … Appariva un essere inquieto, mai soddisfatto del livello di santità di vita e dell'efficacia pastorale della nostra testimonianza» (P. Cambielli 12.3.2010).
Dal 97 al 2010 fece parte della comunità di Jakarta-Noviziato. Sempre animato dal desiderio di conoscere, raccogliere dati e comunicare: «Gli piaceva spiegare tutto, raccontare la cultura della gente e la missione della chiesa, discutere i problemi sociali e soprattutto “criticare” il nostro modo di vivere la missione» (P. Rubianto, 24.3.2010). Effettivamente era sostenitore di una educazione «adeguata a formare temperamenti capaci di tenere botta per la missione...» (P. Cambielli).
A conclusione delle brevi note biografiche, il simpatico ritratto di P. Aniceto Morini, delineato da P. G. Piredda nel 1996: «… Magro, asciutto, trascurato nel vestire e con i suoi immancabili sandali, senza calze. Credo, se avesse potuto, avrebbe portato un vestito di peli di cammello e una cintura di cuoio attorno ai fianchi; e avrebbe mangiato locuste e miele selvatico. Lo stile è quello di Giovanni Battista. ... È un fiume in piena. Mi parla di missione, di programmi, di pastorale missionaria. I riferimenti alla politica esprimono la sua mente impostata alla severità, all’ intransigenza … un missionario genuino, generoso, incapace di ipocrisie, animato solo dalla verità che proviene dal Vangelo».

Fr. Aniceto Morini died on March 11 2010, at the St. Carolus hospital, Jakarta, Indonesia. A stroke in 2006 left him paralyzed and gradually deprived him of speech. During the four years of his illness, he was looked after by the Fathers and brothers of the Novitiate and the Pre-novices.
Born in Bagnolo (Reggio Emilia, Italy) on Apr. 15, 1929, he was almost 81 years old.
It could be said that Fr. Aniceto was a missionary from his childhood. In an interview, he said: «I was six years old when a missionary priest showed us a documentary and asked us if we wanted to go with him to China. I said “yes”». At the end of primary school, however, Aniceto joined the diocesan seminary of Guastalla, and only at the end of the fifth year of high school di he begin the Xaverian formation program: Novitiate at S. Pietro in Vincoli with First Profession at Parma (Nov. 5 1947), Liceo at Desio (1947-51), one year as prefect at Macomer (1951-52), Theology at Piacenza (1952-56) and ordination to the priesthood in the Cathedral of Piacenza on June 4, 1955.
The reports on his progress at various stages of the formation program highlight in a special way his good will and generosity: «his behavior has always been very good… He has always stood out for his missionary activity, both in the Seminary and on vacation» (Report upon his joining the Xaverians). «He is prompt and faithful in obedience and has a great spirit of sacrifice. He helps others willingly and they sometimes take advantage of him. He loves his vocation very much» (Presentation to First Profession). «He has a good devotion and a simple and enterprising zeal. He is obedient and makes himself available for any task» (Presentation to Major Orders).
From 1958 he worked in Indonesia, first in the Christian communities until 1999, and thereafter in formation. He worked in pastoral activity at Pekambaru S. Maria (1958-63), Pasaman (1964-66; 1983-87), Padang Panjang (1967-71), Sawalunto (1967-68; 1971-74; 1977-81); Dumai (1974-77); Padang Domus: he was put in charged of the transmigrants and appointed Zone coordinator (1987-97); Sawalunto and Kayu Aro (1990-97).
On Feb. 26 1959, he wrote: «My work, so far and perhaps forever, will be to “wander” here and there to maintain some connection between the various already-existing communities. Everything is new here and everything has to be done; there is no lack of work and I am alone… I am looking for some trustworthy catechists collaborators… » (Feb. 26, 1959). «…We are all young, with none or little experience, and with such different temperaments…» (Feb. 28, 1960). «He used to read a little of everything, he would copy articles he found interesting and collected information on the various cultures that coexist here in Indonesia… He appeared somewhat restless, never satisfied with the level of holiness and the pastoral efficacy of our witness» (Fr. Cambielli, March 12, 2010).
From 1997 until 2010 he was a member of the community of Jakarta-Novitiate. He was always driven by the desire to know, collect information and communicate: «He liked to explain everything, tell about the culture of the people and the mission of the Church, discuss social problems and above all “criticize” our way of living the mission» (Fr. Rubianto, March 24, 2010). He supported the cause of an education that was «adequate for form tenacious men for the mission» (Fr. Cambielli).
We end these brief biographical notes with the description made by Fr. G. Piredda in 1996: «…He was thin, an untidy dresser and always with his sandals on his feet without socks. I believe that, if possible, he would have dressed in a camel skin and a leather belt around his waist; he would have eaten locusts and wild honey, in the style of John the Baptist… He speaks to me of the mission, programs and missionary pastoral activity. His ideas on politics reflect a strict mind… he is a genuine and generous missionary, incapable of hypocrisy, and animated only by the truth that comes from the Gospel».
